ARTEMIS completion ceremony
On Friday, June 24, 2022, the completion ceremony of the ARTEMIS research project took place in Athens. During the ceremony, the project’s implementation methodology was presented as a whole, as well as its results, with particular emphasis on the ARTEMIS online platform, but also on research work that have arisen within the framework of the project. The ARTEMIS platform is a reliable tool that supports quantitative measurements of specific indicators related to the condition and health of forests. Particular emphasis has been placed on the extraction and analysis of measurements from Remote Sensing observations mainly from multispectral data from the Sentinel-2 satellites. Also, the ARTEMIS system supports multi-temporal monitoring of vegetation changes by producing special charts that compare monthly averages from one year to another.
